Transfering with curl
Transfering with Curl
If you have an unstable network connection you might want to have an opportunity to resume you file transfers, this might be done using the terminal curl command.
This requires that you ATV has AFP enabled.
- Connect to your ATV trough AFP
- Open Terminal
- CD to the folder on your ATV where you want to transfer the file. ie /Volumes/frontrow/Movies/
- Run: curl -C - -O file:///Folder/Filename.xxx
- Sit back and wait
curl is the transfer we are using. -C is telling curl to continiue where the transfer last stoped(if somthing goes wrong), -O tells curl to give the file the same name on the ATV as it had locally.
So if you need to resume the transfer, just run the command again.
