Talk:XAMMP - Apache/MySQL/PHP5/Perl
Getting an Error:
Xammp was working great for me for a long time. Recently, however, after shuffling around my router and setup, my Xammp install is no longer working:
-bash-2.05b$ sudo /Applications/xampp/xamppfiles/mampp start Starting XAMPP for MacOS X 0.6.1... XAMPP: Starting Apache with SSL (and PHP5)... XAMPP: Error 1! Couldn't start Apache! XAMPP: Starting MySQL... XAMPP: Starting ProFTPD... XAMPP: - IPv4 getaddrinfo 'appletv' error: No address associated with nodename - warning: unable to determine IP address of 'appletv' - error: no valid servers configured - Fatal: error processing configuration file '/Applications/xampp/etc/proftpd.conf' XAMPP: Error 1! Couln't start ProFTPD! XAMPP for MacOS X started.
Doing an 'ipconfig getifaddr en0' shows my IP address correctly. I can SSH in just fine using that IP address as well. My router correctly shows that is the IP address of my AppleTV. Not sure whats up, if anyone has any thoughts, please share.
You need to add the ip address for "appletv" in the hosts file (/etc/hosts). Might want to give your appletv a static IP address from the router if you do this. - GoodOmens 6/4/07
Where have all the Gzip gone?
The link for the darwin binary is borkenistic! I tried doing a bunch of legwork to find out that tar is already in my system, I might have put it there via another plug-in through, does anyone have a virgin AppleTV 2.0 to try?
I was able to get to a Xampp welcome page... I saved my terminal output if it would help anyone.
