I can confirm [http://www.rogueamoeba.com/airfoil/mac/ Airfoil] by Rogue Amoeba works on AppleTV (you just have to forward audio from Finder.app), but it's not free. You'd still need a way to control the app through a plugin rather than dropping out of the ATV interface with App Launcher, if true integration is what you're going for. -Maraklov

How about the reverse? Can the ATV be made to function like an Airport Express and receive/play streams from Itunes? In my case, my ATV is connected to the best sound setup I have, but I don't always want to have the TV cabinet open and the TV on just to play music.  -Twolfson

This page is for discussion about making Apple TV work with Airtunes so you can stream music from Apple TV to Airtunes boxes. Is anybody working on this? Should we start a bounty? -
