[edit] Updating

Updating from 2.0 to 2.0.1 rewrites part of the filesystem. Any files added to

• /usr/bin
• /usr/sbin
• /opt

and other places are deleted.

Ben Mackin's USB enabler patch doesn't work with 2.0.1's /mach_kernel.prelink. So make sure to copy the V2.0 /mach_kernel.prelink to your Mac before upgrading.

The 2.0.1 update

• removes non-Apple plugins from the menu
• disables verbose boot
• disables SSH
• disables USB mass storage support
• disables the SAMBA server
• disables the Apache server

The 2.0.1 update

• doesn't change the root password
• doesn't change bash settings in /etc/bashrc, /etc/profile, /etc/hostconfig and /etc/rc.local
